Instagram really can be an amazing platform, apart from the days that pesky algorithm decides not to be our friend! However, the best thing about the platform is that its helped us connect with likeminded creatives for epic collaborations. Not only that but we’ve also been able to connect with our lovely customers, whether it's giving updates on our upcoming designs, or sharing decorating tips with our House of Curious series. And it was during one of our Instagram Stories, showcasing the moodboard for our Master Bedroom project that we received a lovely email from the team at G Plan. Yes, the G Plan, the benchmark for British design since the 1950s!

As big fans of their work and heritage (our Dining Room set, Sideboard in our Cinema Room, and wardrobe in our Guest Bedroom are all vintage G Plan from the 60's), we were ecstatic to be hearing from the team to discuss their love of our designs! They were particularly in love with the scheme we produced for the Master Bedroom, and felt that with such a strong mid-century vibe, wouldn't their design classic Sixty-Two chair look perfect in this room, perhaps customised with one of our maximalist patterns?! Well, our answer from us was, "yes yes yes, one hundred times YES!!".
The Sixty-Two chair became a mid-century icon and was hailed as the world's most comfy chair! It went on to be featured in many films such as James Bond -You Only Live twice. Today the chair embodies the heritage of British design and style.

Knowing the history of the chair we got to work, figuring out all the customisation options available, from choosing the type of wood stain for the legs, through to the button colours and trim details, it was a super smooth process. The G Plan team also introduced us to production partners Woven Arts, who produced Coral Odyssey in the Black colourway on their high quality velvet.

And after drooling over the lovely studio shots sent to us by the G Plan team, today we took delivery of our very own Curious Sixty-Two, and it really is a sight to behold! Premium, stylish, iconic with a touch of Curious flair, and perfect for our Master Bedroom glow up! What do you think?
